You’ve been invited to take part in a 360 feedback exercise

This isn’t a test or formal assessment. It’s simply a way to help you reflect on how your communication and confidence come across at work.

The aim is insight and development, not judgement. It should only take a few minutes to complete.

What happens next?

Complete the self-assessment exercise. Once that’s done, you’ll be given a link to share with six colleagues at Bit Famous, asking them to anonymously reflect on how they see you.

Everyone's responses will be combined to build a balanced picture of what’s working well and where small changes could make a positive difference.

FAQ

The self-assessment gives you a chance to reflect on how you see your own communication style and confidence at work. It forms one part of the 360 process and allows you to compare your perspective with how colleagues experience working with you.

360 feedback gathers observations from people you work with such as managers, peers and team members. They answer a short set of questions about everyday workplace behaviours like communication, decision making and collaboration. Your self-assessment is then compared with their feedback to create a balanced view of your strengths and areas for development.

Your report is intended primarily for you. Depending on how the process has been set up in your organisation, it may also be shared with a manager, coach or programme facilitator who can help you interpret the feedback and decide what actions to take next.

Your responses are shown alongside the average scores from colleagues. This comparison highlights where your view of your behaviour is similar to others’ experiences and where there may be differences.

Reports are normally generated once enough colleagues have completed their feedback. When that point is reached, your results will be shared with you.

Once your report is available you can review the results and identify a few practical actions to work on. Many people discuss their feedback with a manager or coach to turn the insights into a development plan.

Most people complete the self-assessment in around five minutes.

If you have any questions about the feedback process or your report, please contact the person or team organising the programme in your organisation.
